According to Glassdoor employees, MongoDB is a best place to work in 2023

The MongoDB team is delighted to announce that we have been selected as one of the Best Places to Work in 2023 by the Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Awards in the category of Information Technology.

There is no self-nomination or application process as there is with other workplace awards, rather the award is entirely based upon the feedback our employees have voluntarily and anonymously submitted on Glassdoor. In order to determine the winners of the awards, Glassdoor evaluates company reviews that have been submitted by current and former employees during the past year. In this year’s Best Place to Work survey of U.S. companies with more than 1,000 employees, we are proud to be recognized as one of the best places to work.

The entire company would like to extend a sincere thank you to all our employees who took the time to share their perspective on what it is like to work here with us. It is our pleasure to receive all the valuable feedback as it only helps us to make improvements in the future.

I would just like to share with you just a few words that employees shared on Glassdoor that contributed to the award and that make us feel incredibly honored to have won:

Senior Staff Engineer, Sydney

I have been working on the Storage Engine for MongoDB now for more than ten years. I have taken on a lot of different roles and responsibilities over the course of my time with MongoDB, and I am now a senior individual contributor. In addition to building the best storage engine in the world with my colleagues, I am also responsible for carefully fostering a diverse, inclusive, pragmatic, engaged and curious culture of engineering. I have been able to actively contribute to the success of this company during my time here, as well as clearly understand the vision and the pathway to success that led to that success. As the company grows and evolves to meet the changing needs of our customers, it is an exciting place to work full of opportunities and challenges, a great place to enhance your career.

Enterprise Account Executive, Tel-Aviv

The technology they use is amazing, and they have some of the smartest & most experienced people you’ll ever have the chance to work with. In this culture, giving feedback is a big part of the process, and it is done in a way that is actionable and clear, and it is intended to help you improve your craft and the results you achieve.”

Deal Strategy Manager, Dublin

As a company that values culture very much, MongoDB is very passionate about ensuring that everyone who walks through its doors fits into the existing company culture. There is a culture in which openness, inclusiveness, and respect are of utmost importance. Despite the fact that the company is growing rapidly, the management wants to keep the feel of a small company as much as possible.

In some large companies, the term ‘family’ is used a lot, but in my office and team there is a true sense of family. In my first year, I have dealt with two quite serious changes in my personal life, and the team has been so supportive and helpful.

There is no doubt this company will continue to grow over the next 5 years under the strongest Senior Leadership I have ever seen.

The offices are incredible and the employee benefits are exceptional.”

Director, Developer Relations, Austin

The C-Suite management team is one of the best in the business. Dev is an amazing CEO who has surrounded himself with brilliant people who know how to perform at a very high level. There is an incredible opportunity in the market. It is unquestionably true that MongoDB dominates the NoSQL space, and there is no doubt that it is just the beginning of the “great replacement” of RDBMS. In a market that is going through turbulence, our company has an outstanding growth position. One mission is being pursued by the entire team as a whole. There is only one goal that MongoDB is trying to achieve. As we disrupt the global database technology market and replace the existing RDBMS, we will extend our lead in the NoSQL technology sector. It is as if everyone here is marching to the beat of the same drum.”
