AI is becoming a useful tool in coronavirus
One of the most dangerous virus, which is spreading its wings to from country to country is coronavirus. I has started spreading virus from China, but China is not only the country which is affected by this virus but also other countries.
Brownstein, a computational epidemiologist at Boston Children’s Hospital said that, Artificial Intelligence is not meant to replace the information-gathering work of public health leaders, but provides alternative techniques to filter data to help them make decisions.
According to Brownstein machine learning is used to, scrape all the information, classify it, tag it, and filter it and then that information gets pushed to our colleagues at WHO and can easily identify people looking at this information all day and making assessments.
Hence Artificial Intelligence can analyze data from government reports, social media, news sites, and other sources, help officials more accurately predict how far and how fast outbreaks will spread by enabling uses that stretch beyond baseline surveillance, and which types of people are most likely to be affected.
Don Woodlock, a vice president at InterSystems, said that Machine learning is very good at identifying patterns in the data, such as – Risk factors that might identify zip codes that are connected to the virus.
