Amazon QuickSight – in
In Amazon QuickSight, you can use the in function to check if an expression matches any of the specified values in a list or a multivalue parameter.
Syntax
#Start# in(expression, [literal-1, ...]) #End#
This syntax is used to check if an expression matches any of the specified values in a manually entered list of literals.
Example
#Start# in({Category}, ["Electronics", "Books"]) #End#
The above expression checks if the value of the Category field is either “Electronics” or “Books”
Syntax
#Start# in(expression, $multivalue_parameter) #End#
This syntax is used to check if an expression matches any of the values selected in a multivalue parameter.
Example
#Start# in({Region}, $RegionParameter) #End#
For example, if you have a multivalue parameter named RegionParameter that allows users to select one or more regions, the following expression checks if the value of the Region field is in the list of selected regions.
In both cases, the in function returns a Boolean value of true if the expression matches any of the specified values, and false otherwise. This function is often used in combination with other functions such as ifelse or sum to perform conditional calculations based on the values of fields or parameters.
