Amazon QuickSight – Table Calculation Functions

When analyzing data in a specific visual, you can use table calculations to derive insights on how dimensions (such as time, location, product, etc.) influence measures (such as sales, profit, revenue, etc.) or each other. Essentially, a table calculation is a function that performs operations on the data to reveal relationships between fields.

Visualized data is the result set that is generated based on your current dataset, with all the filters, field selections, and customizations applied. To better understand what this result set is, you can export your visual to a file, which will give you a more detailed view of the data.

In Amazon QuickSight, there are several functions available for table calculations that can be used to manipulate visualized data in different ways. These functions are sorted by category and can be easily accessed in the “Functions by category” section. By applying these functions to your data, you can gain deeper insights into the relationships between your data points and uncover trends and patterns that may not be immediately apparent.
