Amazon QuickSight – toLower
The toLower() function in Amazon QuickSight is used to convert a string expression to lowercase letters. It takes one parameter: the expression to be converted.
Syntax
#Start# toLower(expression) #End#
This function takes one argument:
- expression: the string to be converted to lowercase. The toLower() function returns a new string with all the characters in the input expression converted to lowercase.
Suppose we have a column named “Country” with the following values:
USA
Canada
Mexico
To convert all the country names to lowercase, we can use the toLower() function as follows:
Example
#Start# toLower({Country}) #End#
This will return the following output:
USA
Canada
Mexico
Note that the toLower() function only works with string expressions. You will get an error if you try to apply it to a non-string expression.
