Google’s Artificial Intelligence powered smart glasses help the blind to see

One of the important organs in our body is eyes. If we are blind, we cannot see and feel the beautiful creature of god. For few people is not possible to see even after a surgery, but Google AI created smart glasses help the blind to see.

Report:  Google AI to create a set of AI-powered spectacles that help blind and visually-impaired people to see. The glasses extract visual information about images of people, belongings, and public transport, and then speak about them out loud.

Google’s AI read text from books, name friends by analyzing their faces, and describes surroundings such as train signs and street hazards. It was developed by Envision, a company based in The Hague.

He claims that software is the fastest and most accurate OCR (Optical Character Recognition) available, and capable of reading any text from more than 60 languages scrawled on any type of surface, from food labels to handwriting.

In 2020 once the tool began with pre-orders at a reduced starting price of $1,699 and retail for $2,099 once shipping done.

However, price tag of these products puts out of reach for many of people living with visual impairment, but it could be helpful for the people who can afford it.
