AI Adoption in Education: A Growing Trend
AI is not just a subject of interest for working professionals but also for students in the K-12 segment. BrightCHAMPS, an edtech platform catering to young learners, found that 58% of students worldwide are already integrating AI into their studies, and 36% use AI for homework assistance.
Ravi Bhushan, CEO of BrightCHAMPS, stated that AI is among the most in-demand courses. “We launched a Gen AI course for kids, and in the US, every fourth student is enrolling in AI courses. India is catching up fast, with parents showing even more curiosity than their US counterparts.”
This AI-powered learning trend is reflected across other edtech leaders as well:
✅ Emeritus has introduced 20+ AI and machine learning courses, with AI ranking among its top five online certificate programs. AI enrolments tripled in 2024 compared to 2023, with 75% of participants being experienced professionals from IT, engineering, and consulting.
✅ Simplilearn sees 30-40% of its global revenue coming from AI courses, indicating strong demand across both technical and managerial professionals. “AI is no longer just for engineers; business leaders and managers are also upskilling to integrate AI into their strategies,” said Krishna Kumar, CEO of Simplilearn.
