Power BI – Publish Datasets & Reports

 

Power BI Desktop publishing is identical to connecting to and uploading a Power BI Desktop file using Get Data in Power BI.

To publish a Power BI Desktop dataset and reports

  1. Select Publish on the Home ribbon or File > Publish > Publish to Power BI in Power BI Desktop.

2. If you are not already logged in, sign in for Power BI.

3. Choose a destination. To find the workspace into which you want to publish, search your list of available workspaces. You can filter your workspaces using the search box. Click the Select button after selecting the workspace.

Upon publishing, you will receive a link to your report. Open the report in Power BI by clicking the link.
