 Earlier the term assessment was in to picture (i.e. gathering of data, analyzing data & interpreting data) , but as of current situation , the term self assessment varies , it means evaluation of one’s actions , attitudes or performance.

It simple means encouraging themselves in order to examine their own learning levels & understanding levels by identifying areas that require improvement.

To perform a self assessment, it is necessary to ask questions to yourself, assessing your thoughts, feelings, actions and behavior to determine, where you are standing.

It depends on two terms:

Self development

Self knowledge: Helps you to think about what is important to you, what motivates you, and identify areas where you may want to develop future.

 Self Development: Use the exercise and prompts provided to gain a deeper understanding of how your values influence you and to being to consider areas for future development.

Self assessment is the process of looking at oneself in order to areas aspects that are important to one’s identity. It is one of the motives that drives self evaluation, along with self verification & self enhancement.

It helps to know yourself without being involved by the third party. Psychometric tests: It enables to determine particular characteristics of an individual by referring to a norm. They assess the people’s general behavior & fundamental skills. A test is turned psychometric when if follows particular step by step and is validated through statistical studies.

Emotional intelligence: It enhances the ability to raise awareness of our own emotions so that we can recognize and decipher the emotions of others.
