Is it accurate to say that you are building the links for your website in the correct way? Or on the other hand would you say you are performing outdated practices?

I. Determine the value of the link. Besides the ranking, what value will this link bring? Possibly potential traffic? Is it relevant? How does the link fit into the content? Is the resource’s authority high? Weigh the options and determine what priority for the resource.

Ii. Local links are still very good. Local business links confirm Google’s business location. But some of these local links are not indexed by Google. Therefore, if you are doing business, it is worth creating a page with contact details on your own website.

Iii. Not mentioned brand. Simple ways to get a link – find out who mentions a brand or company, without referring to the resource and ask to add a link.

Iv. Restore broken links. A sure way to regularly fix broken and broken links.

v.  Help journalists with expert opinion. This is useful for the image and gives you the opportunity to get a link.

Vi. Know how to surprise. Often local charities or non-profit organizations are looking for sponsors. In return, you get a useful link.

VII. Work with questions. There is nothing wrong with working with questions. Get more coverage by answering questions. There are plenty of resources that will help in this work.

Viii. Create useful content and people will refer to the resource themselves.

 

Bad for link building

1. Discard anchor text that may look like spam.

Ii. Do not buy or sell links, relying only on PageRank. You may encounter nofollow links or other unexpected problems.

Iii. Hidden links. White links on a white background. Do not do that. It is old and no longer works. Search engines are well aware of such things.

Iv. Links from various directories. It is necessary to say goodbye to the directory links. They are more harmful than useful.

v. Avoid links to other sites that look like spam. A footer link or link to the top level that the visitor is definitely not planning to navigate.

Vi. Binding to one page of numerous keywords. It looks like spam and will not help in the long run.

VII. Do not abuse guest messages.

Viii. Automated tools. Do not use automated services to create links to sites.

Ix. Exchange links between sites. This no longer works, but there are many other options for getting links in a natural and more authoritative way.
