Google Webmaster Tools, abbreviated as GTW, on May 20, 2015, Google renamed Google Webmaster Tool to Google Search Console , a kind of Google’s offer to all webmasters and webmasters in the world. The free service tool platform is also used by me every day to perform daily analysis and inspection and in-depth analysis of the site and other websites.

This is a must-have tool for webmasters to check the status of their website and optimize their situation.

Google Webmaster Tools (Goolge Search Console)

Google Search Console helps you monitor and maintain your website’s display in Google search results. Although you don’t sign up for google search console, your site also appears in Google search results, but actively submitting your own website or webpage will help you understand how Google finds your site and how it looks in its search results.

At present, Google has unified all its products, that is, as long as you have a google account, you can log in to use all of its products, Google search tool search console is no exception.

GTW provides very valuable services for our website, including:

1. Submit / check your website map

3. Maintain your website while minimizing disruption to its display

4. Monitor and resolve malware or spam issues to keep your site healthy and harmless

6. What keyword queries make your website appear in search results and what is the clickthrough rate?

7. List all internal and reverse links on your website pages

How to use Google Webmaster Tools

(1) CONFIRMATION OF WEBSITE OWNERSHIP

To use the google webmaster tool very well, first you need to confirm the ownership of the most websites, put a text file in the root directory of your website:

There are several ways to verify a website , it’s very easy, and the steps are simple. If you choose to upload the HTML file method, follow these steps:

1. Click and download the google verification file and save it to your computer.

2. Use a FTP tool (such as Filezilla) client to link your website’s web hosting account and then place the file under the website domain root directory (mostly public_html)

3. Confirm save after uploading

4. Finally return to the GTW account page and click the “verify” button.

(2) SUBMITTING A WEBSITE MAP

After the website is verified, submit the XML site map to GTW. This will ensure that the information on all pages of your website is not missing, and this will make it easier for google bots to crawl and index/index these pages. In a few days, you will see all the page index information or status in the background.
