SQLiteDB – Installation:

Installation of SQLite Database on Windows

It is very simple installation. Just follow the below steps.

Download:

First, download the latest version of SQLite database software for your windows operation system

Files:

Download the files sqlite-dll-win64-x64-*.zip, sqlite-tools-win32-x86-*.zip

Unzip the above two zipped files in this folder which will give you sqlite3.def, sqlite3.dll and sqlite3.exe files and other tools required.

Set PATH environment variable where you have extracted all those files and go to the command prompt and issue sqlite3 command. below is the result how you should be able to see.

C:\sqlite>sqlite3

SQLite version 3.19.2 2017-05-25 16:50:27

Enter ".help" for usage hints.

Connected to a transient in-memory database.

Use ".open FILENAME" to reopen on a persistent database.

All most recent linux versions are available with pre-installed SQLite Database On Linux. No need to bother about the installation in Linux.

Try giving the command sqlite3 in the linux command prompt

[root@tuto~]# sqlite3

SQLite version 3.3.6

Enter ".help" for instructions

sqlite>
