TensorFlow Download & Installation
Installation of TensorFlow Using PIP:
Here, the latest version of Tensorflow 2.0 Alpha is released.
we can install by using,
tensorflow==2.0.0-alpha0 —Preview TF 2.0 Alpha build for CPU-only (unstable)
tensorflow-gpu==2.0.0-alpha0 —Preview TF 2.0 Alpha build with GPU support (Unstable,Ubuntu and Windows)
# Current stable release for CPU-only
pip install tensorflow
# Preview nightly build for CPU-only (unstable)
pip install tf-nightly
# Install TensorFlow 2.0 Alpha
pip install tensorflow==2.0.0-alpha0
Some packages are available here for different processors:
1. tensorflow —Latest stable release for CPU-only (Ubuntu and Windows)
2. tf-nightly —Preview nightly build for CPU-only (unstable)
3. tensorflow-gpu —Latest stable release with GPU support (Ubuntu and
4. tf-nightly-gpu —Preview nightly build with GPU support (unstable, Ubuntu and Windows)
System requirements:
– Ubuntu 16.04 or latest (64-bit)
– macOS 10.12.6 (Sierra) or latest (64-bit) (no GPU support)
– Windows 7 or latest (64-bit) (Python 3 only)
– Raspbian 9.0 or latest
Hardware Requirements:
For this, Hardware requirements are also necessary because the older version of Tensorflow 1.6, binaries use AVX instructions which may not run on older CPUs.
But for Tensorflow 2.0 alpha that uses NVIDIA GPU card along with CUDA Compute Capability 3.5 or higher.
Package location:
Some of the installation formats require the URL of respective Tensorflow Python package. Please specify the value depending on your version of Python Installed on your Machine.
